Billa 2 starring the Kollywood Thala Ajith Kumar in the lead role in the role of David Billa is based on the earlier life of Billa. Billa 2 is the first prequel made in the Kollywood films.
Billa 2 is produced by Suresh Balaji, son of the legendary producer and actor K Balaji who produced the original Billa with the Superstar Rajnikanth.
Director Vishnuvardhan was earlier opted to direct Ajith`s Billa 2 but he has been moved out of the project as the shoot was clashing with his Pawan Kalyan Telugu film 'The Shadow' Chakri Toleti of Unnaipol Oruvan has been roped in to direct Billa 2 and the shooting is in progress.
Sizzlinig beauty Parvathy Omanakuttan will play the love interest of David Billa.
Cineatography is handled by RD Rakasekahar, Editor Sreekar Prasad, Music Director Yuvan Shankar Raja Billa 2 is made with RED Epic Camera for the first time in India which has been shot with 5K resolution.

Nanban is a Tamil Comedy Drama Film directed by Shankar. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana D’Cruz, Sathyan and Sathyaraj. The plot of the film illustrates the embankment of two friends on a quest for a lost buddy, who was once an optimistic and successful student. On their journey, they recount their college life and special moments that the three shared up until their lost friend secretly parted ways after convocation. During their quest, the two encounter a rivaling classmate who once made a long forgotten bet with them, a funeral that goes impossibly out of control, and a wedding they must crash.
